Show Recap
Looking back on the show last night, I couldn’t be happier. The bands made it early, no sound problems, venue was great, and people showed up. If that’s not a great night, I don’t know what is. Many people from my college showed up and it was great to see everyone. Thanks to all of you that came out last night.
The show ran like any typical concert. People were up front standing and there were some sitting on the balcony just enjoying the tunes. However, the environment changed for Bradley Hathaway’s set. Everyone pulled seats up and just listened to him play for about an hour. It was kind of an intimate feel. He has many funny songs/poems but he left them out. He chose to play songs with deeper meaning. He said, “I’m not playing my funny songs because life isn’t funny.” Although it was a bit of a joke, there was some truth in it. Like I always say, in every joke there is a little truth.
After Backseat Goodbye’s set, he went outside and continued to play acoustic songs in the parking lot. It’s unique to hear musicians play in a setting like that. I know many people enjoyed hearing an extra song outside.

My favorite part about putting on shows is getting to know the bands. Not because I think they are cool but because they have seen the world. It’s great to hear about their views and experiences through songs but it is even better to hear them in casual conversations. I am grateful for the new friends I have made.
I give the show two thumbs up and can’t wait for the next one.
