bradley hathaway recently posted a note on his personal facebook that has seemed to spark a lot of debate among has fans, one of my friends, who has supported him for a long time actually removed him from her friends list, this is the note
“i thought some of you would enjoy the kind of emails i get and i got two the past two days are a real winners.
the first from a nice girl from university of southern florida:
“just wanted you to know that you shouldn’t have posted on all your websites that you were going to be playing shows in Florida during Nov/Dec and then not do it. And even when you actually do play shows in Florida, I won’t be there. I was waiting for you to come here, but no, I guess it’s about the money now and not the music.”
and here’s a nice one from a 21 year old fellow in frisco, texas:
“Awesome performance last night, but its really sad to see that someone i looked up to and thought highly of for a long time really isnt the PERSON i thought.”
my reply:
“who did you think i was? who do you think i am? bradley”
his reply:
“i thought you were going to be a bit more admirable, thought you wouldnt be greedy and take all the money that the other bands earned for the past month, but its done man lifes full of disappintments and people arent always who you think they are.”
so what was my response? you mother$^$#$%#$J%$%%$ #%#$#%#@%# #J#@%@#%#%# idiots!
no not really, i just got sad that that these people were actually voting age. that these people can actually drive, make children, etc. but it is really hard sometimes to hold my tongue. i could explain things to them but if people are shooting emails like this you obviously can’t reason with them. i take george w. bush’s stance on terrorists with this kinda stuff, ha. i’ll let barrack obama have their vote.
(i’m laughing out loud here, c’mon people. don’t get so worked up)
